Jen Colclough is is a Pushcart-nominated poet and screewriter from Nova Scotia, Canada. She holds an MA in Classics from Western with a focus on Ancient Greek historiography.
Her debut poetry collection, "Our Little Agonies," was released in 2025 by Montreal Publishing Company. Her work has been featured widely in publications such as Canadian Literature, CRAFT Literary, The Journal of Ancient History, Tabula Rasa Review, Heimat Review, and ionosphere.
Jen is a member of the Writers' Federation of Nova Scotia's Writers Council and an Associate Member of Screen Nova Scotia.
She is currently working on a debut historical fiction novel and developing a serial drama.

2024 Nominated for the 2024 Pushcart Prize in Poetry by Amplicon Press for my poem, “Connoisseurs of Lightness.”
2024 Nominated for the 2024 Pushcart Prize in Creative Nonfiction by CRAFT Literary for my essay, “The Lighthouse Keepers.”
2018-2019 Awarded the Canada Graduate Scholarship by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada to support graduate research at Western.
